Letters to God
Online exhibition of Muslim prayer rugs which were collected in Russia and Central Asia. After countless namaz salawat (sessions of prayer), these rugs are now marked with traces — the fabric fibers are worn, the color is faded, or there are patches visible on them. These traces act as documentary evidence attesting to something that cannot be heard or seen — a conversation between man and God
This multimedia story is about anthropological fieldwork — an extensive experience accumulated by the project team "Roadwork" and their work in East and Central Asia. Made with the support of the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Universities of Zurich and Fribourg.
Developed for the Goethe Institute, this computer game is about creating a modern school. Based on research on next-generation schools, the latest architectural practices, and guidelines from progressive teachers
